About South Bay Performing Arts Initiative

The South Bay Performing Arts Initiative is a non-profit corporation that was formed to promote, develop and establish The Inglewood Performing Arts Center (IPAC) as a major world-class entertainment and cultural center, right in the City of Inglewood!

The Initiative’s mailing address is 239 E. Manchester Blvd., Inglewood, California 90301.

The Initiative represents the combined efforts of a veteran team of Television, Motion Picture and Stage professionals who are determined to use their four decades of experience in the entertainment industry to establish a major Performing Arts Center in a predominantly minority community.

The Center , while serving the greater South Bay, will consist of a state-of-the-art 3,000-seat Broadway-type theater, and a 1,500 theater to serve resident and professional theater groups. Further, the complex will have rehearsal studios, offices, art galleries, restaurants, artists lofts, and will also host a Performing Arts High School for selected students.

The Initiative is an all-volunteer organization managed by its Board of Directors, who are individuals and representatives of organizations within our community.

The Initiative’s current activities are primarily directed toward promoting public awareness of the project. When needed the Initiative will be an active partner with the City of Inglewood, Inglewood Unified School District and all other entities that may join in developing the Arts Center. Additionally, the Initiative will support and produce various theatrical and television special event entertainment, as a means of increasing the opportunities of having top professionals performing in the City of Inglewood.
